Ok…I ate SO much for dinner that I’m literally too stuffed to think straight and make a real brain dump post so this is sort of a copout. Have you ever eaten so much it hurts? uhghgh. Never again. So anyways, this past weekend I went to my friend Andy’s graduation party from UCLA Law and it made me realize that a lot of people in my life deserve some sort of congratulations right now. So a tribute to some people in my life:

Congratulations Andy on graduating from UCLA law…that’s quite an accomplishment! Even though he has no plans on practicing law.

Congratulations Christine, my cousin, on getting into UCSB!! I really am so proud of her.

Congratulations Fong who just found out she got into UCLA’s very prestigious business school!

Congratulations to my little niece for celebrating her first birthday! I can’t wait to see her in a few months.

And lastly, congratulations to my good friend Cheryl who just got engaged!!! I have someone to talk wedding planning with :)

  3. Alright, lookie here. I was trying to be subtle and let you correct your glaring mistake on your own, but I see it soared right over your short head.

If you were going around congratulating a bunch of people I never heard of, that’s fine, I’m sure you have pantheon of weirdo friends that I couldn’t care less about. But once you bring out the list and put ANDY on it (and FIRST, no less!), well now I’m gonna demand some of me own congratulations.

You know dear, I’M graduating from Lawschool as well, and actually becoming a real live lawyer! I didn’t take lawschool just for shits and giggles like SOME crazy Arabs, nor did I take off a semester so I could hump statues of myself that I built out of $1,000 dollar bills, NOR do I constantly make honking sounds and have to vent my nostrils like some kind of crazed goose. I had to work full-time my last 2 years suing Chinese people for other, angrier Chinese people just to make ends meet, while Andy worked full-time his last year buying and selling large corporations on the Stock Market and small Portuguese boys on the white slave market. And Ahab the Arab over there isn’t even bothering to take the BAR, whilst I have to spend the next three months of my life studying tirelessly for that F-ing test and limiting videogames to four hours a day! Four hours, Kim!

Considering that upwards of 17% of your traffic stems from people coming here to see yours truly, the sauciest member of the commentariat, I think a little congrats on my graduation are in order!

    So I say again, AHEM!

  4. OK OK! Congratulations Hakushaku! You have argued a good point. Why should Andy get a congrats when he hasn’t technically even finished school. He still has summer school AND fall semester. He is planning to take the BAR in Feb, but just so he can sue his highschool teacher that didn’t allow him to play track. But whatever. Congrats. Throw a party so we can come visit you! And if you didn’t hear, I got Andy a cake that looked like an XBOX since that’s all he “studied” for three years.

  5. Haha well thank you, my dear, but you aren’t the Kim I was aiming for!

All in good fun, you understand. I’m sure your husband will agree that reaching rank 45 on Halo 3 has been far more difficult than law school could ever hope to be.

Might I also humbly suggest a motivation for Andy to take the BAR: A class action suit against all bees everywhere.

  6. I know your post was aimed at the one who owns this blog (I refer to her as Lil’ Kim), but I thought I would try console you by giving you some props! You were subtle in the fact that you got no love, and I happened to pick up on it. You deserve a congrats! And yes, I would have to say that there was more blood sweat and tears poured into yelling at little kids (and don’t forget raising praying mantis’) than cracking open a law school book, hence the XBOX cake. He actually has a class action lawsuit in mind, but I forgot what it was. Something comepletely ridiculous though, you know him.
I still think you’re funny. Keep ranting please it makes me laugh
