Submerged Flowers Tutorials

Ok, I think I def want to do the submerged flowers. One girl bought all of her bases a the dollar store! I really should check them out. Useful links:

Tutorial

It says the best flowers to use are: anthuriums, orchids, tulips, callas or Bird of Paradise.

yay….orchids + tulips + calla lillies are the flowers I think I want to use!

Summary

Centerpieces

Filed under: centerpieces — admin @ 3:22 am

I like these:

Each table was decorated with arrangements of curly willow, dendrobium orchids, rose petals, and hanging votives.

This one would be perfect for our goldfish cuz it’s simple!!

Three different centerpiece styles could be found at the reception: a grouping of nine, small, square vases with Kermit mums and green votives; a medium-sized square vase filled with orange lilies and surrounded by orange votives; and a taller square vase with pink lilies submerged in water and surrounded by pink votives.

This one is also simple and easy for fish!!! (and it uses orchids…perfect!!)

I really like this idea of using 3 different vase types with some of the flowers completely inside the vase. This doesn’t seem to hard to arrange (i really like the tulips vase). maybe i can use the biggest vase and put fishies in them? i wonder how much this setup costs. spend less on the flowers!

Each table had three earthy floral centerpieces in the wedding day colors made up of rocks, branches, calla lilies, orchids, and tulips.

how did they do this??? wouldn’t this be a great way to use orchids as a centerpiece? it doesn’t cost as much cuz u use less! right? and the tops are floating candles. just need to figure out how to get the orchids to stay like that.

Submerged purple orchid centerpieces topped the guest tables, perfectly complementing the linens.

Can you tell I am digging the varying sizes of vases ones. Too bad they dont show the square vases….I like this idea. half the tables get one type of centerpiece the other different shape.

To add a simple and elegant look to the reception, half of the centerpieces consisted of two glass vases of varying heights with white stemless flowers and tea lights floating at the top. The other half featured glass square vases filled with calla lilies, roses, dendrobium orchids, and hydrangeas.

Man I’m all about the submerged flowers eh? The orange here is SO beautiful!

I don’t like this particular one but I really want flower petals and candles all over the table like this!!

Classy. Simple!

Which one do you guys like best?

Guestbook

We decided we will do the photobooth. I want to have cards ppl can write “wishes for the bride and groom” and a guestbook where they can stick their photobooth pic and the wish card in the book side by side!

I want to incorporate this somehow into our wedding. Where guests can write down their “wedding wish” for us at 1 year and 5 year.
