1. Sabatino Tartufi Truffle Oils – I got a set of black and white truffle oils through a Groupon deal. I’ve been putting this stuff on everything and it’s SO good. Just putting it on my eggs brings it to another level. I’ve also been drizzling it on a lot of my pastas. I need to buy some popcorn so I can have truffled popcorn next!

2. Hands-Free Breastpump Bra – Any breastfeeding mamas out there? Well if you pump…you NEED this. I used to hate pumping so much because I would just sit there for 15 minutes bored out of my mind as I pumped. This allows me to play on my iphone while I pump and totally makes the time fly by!

3. Tebo Tebo Tea Lounge – This is for all you socal people…this is our new go-to boba place in the OC. I wouldn’t say it’s the best boba or anything but they have a really impressive menu with one of the largest and unique selections I’ve seen. They even have a whole section of drinks using coconut water…which is so popular right now. If you get your boba to go they also serve it in a milk bottle hehe. They have a pretty big menu of food items for a boba place as well. We tried a few of the “street food” items and they were pretty tasty.

4. True Orange – I’ve been lazy about using my sodastream until I read about these crystallized orange packets. They also come in lemon, grapefruit, and lime. They contain no artifical sugars and is basically just straight up fruit crystals. I empty 2 packets into a bottle of sodastream water (carbonated water) and it tastes exactly like Trader Joe’s flavored sparkling water but a whole lot cheaper! (You can get a 100 pack for ~$12) They are zero calories and because of this I am drinking a lot more water. Yay! You can also cook with these which is great because I always buy lemons and they go bad because I don’t use all of them in time. I’ll try cooking with the lemon one and report back to you!

5. Old Navy Bermuda Shorts – Since I still haven’t lost all of my pregnancy weight, I had to go out and buy some new shorts. I think these were even cheaper in the store but they are less than $10 and super comfy! I practically wear these every day!

6. Slice app – This is my latest favorite iPhone app. I swear since I’ve been home on maternity leave all I do is online shop, especially for baby stuff. I have packages coming every week! (all mostly hot deals though I promise :)) Anyways, this app automatically scans your email and keeps track of what you ordered, when they are expected to arrive, and notifies you when they are out for delivery. I LOVE this app! You no longer have to go to the fedex or ups website to enter in a tracking number…this app does it all automatically for you. It’s great!

onto some non-iphone stuff…

the next one is a kickstarter product so it actually isn’t on sale yet but at the rate they are collecting money it should be one soon: coffee joulies – these “beans” will keep your drink hot for hours….and if it’s too hot it cools it down to a drinkable temperature = AMAZING right?

And let me just pause for a second to talk about Kickstarter. It’s a website where people try to garner support (money) for their “ideas”. If you believe in their idea, you donate a certain amount and if they reach their goal they will make the product and usually you get a discount or first preview or some other goodie for making their dreams happen! such a cool idea right?

This is so exciting for a girl with a black thumb such as myself. These were just SEEDS not a week ago! And now they are already growing green leaves. How awesome!

The biggest problem I have is knowing how much to water my plants. Today I saw THIS!

It’s a self-watering planter with the cutest little squirrel. As long as you can see the squirrel you know your plant has enough water. If the squirrel disappears, it’s time to water. I WANT THIS!!!!!!!

Woodstation weather display – is this not the coolest clock ever? a motion sensor detects when you are near and lights up….otherwise it looks like a modern wooden sculpture. I don’t know how the LEDs show through the wood like that but I am loving the weather indicators too. So cute!

Parson’s desk from West Elm – These beautiful desks come in all different colors and have been featured all over design blogs. I’m smitten and REALLY want two of these for our office but at $300/desk, I can’t justify getting it. Do you think a cheap ikea one will suffice?? hehe

iPad – I know…the iPad was a bit underwhelming but if I had some extra money to spare, I wouldn’t mind having one of these in my living room. You know if you were over at our house lounging around you’d use it too! It’s a giant iPhone…well…I love my iPhone!

Ketchup pillow – How funny is this pillow! She even has mustard, soy sauce, and various other food and geeky pillows. But totally doesn’t match the decor of our house.

Anyways, we are basically starting with a clean slate with this new house so we have been shopping for a sofa set, dining room table, desks for the office and bed set. We’ve seen a few things we’ve liked so hopefully we’ll be able to pull it all together and make our house look beautiful!!

Aside from the big items, I’ve been shopping around for little knickknacks/random items for the house. I tried to check reviews and Consumer Reports to make sure I get the BEST item in each category. I’m trying to make all of my purchases the most efficient and as cost effective as can be since we have so much to buy!

We have engineered wood floors throughout our house so I’ve been doing a lot of research on the best way to clean wood floors. At first I was just going to buy a swiffer floor duster but I realized that this is not very green with their disposable towels. And although they do ok for general cleaning, there are much better options out there. Here are two that I am debating on getting:

In our bathroom, we have one of those all glass shower doors. To keep the glass doors spotless I read many people recommend spraying it with Rain-X and using a squeegee after showering. I read one girl even said she has never had to clean the shower door after 2 years and it was still spotless!

I’m still looking for the ultimate bath towels. I want really soft, not too thin but not too fat towels either, and that don’t keep that mildew-y smell. Is that too much to ask for? Maybe these will work? I am going to go to Macy’s to check them out.

For the bedroom, I am still debating if I want to get these highly rated gel pillows from Amazon. I might be allergic to down so I’ve been looking for alternatives to down when I buy my comforter and pillows. This one seems to fit the bill but I hate buying pillows without testing them first! It’s one of the best selling items in the home department at Amazon though and they so cheap….2 pillows for $25! Anyone here used these pillows before?

Some type of water filtration…either a pitcher or tap filter. After much research, i will be going with PUR. Consumer Reports highly recommends them as filtering out the most things and I do not want to buy water bottles anymore. This will save us money and be better for the environment!
