If you haven’t noticed, a lot of the apps that you’ve previously had to pay for are now being offerend online for free. Google seems to be the leading company replacing each program in Microsoft’s Office Suite one by one.

I know a lot of these websites are still in their infancy stages and might not have all of the features some Microsoft apps may have but I think in no time these websites will rival the real apps. I love using web-based apps because of the wonderful sharing capability. For a lot of my trips, me and my friends have already made use of Google docs, allowing each of us to add/edit any doc. I also share my google calendar with several of my friends! Not only that, but it’s nice to be able to access any of your docs from any computer! Love it. Anyways, Mashable has made a list of 30+ apps that are killing Microsoft. Check it out for some great alternatives.

In case you didn’t know, there’s been an online voting contest to see what the new 7 wonders of the world are going to be. The deadline to vote is today so go register and vote if you haven’t. The only surviving of the old 7 wonders are the Great Pyramids of Giza.

My vote for the new 7 wonders are as follows: Peru’s Machu Picchu, India’s Taj Majal, Rome’s Colosseum, China’s Great Wall, Stonehenge, Russia’s Kremlin and the Acropolis of Athens. I’ve only seen Machu Picchu….but I plan to see all of the others including the Pyramids.

The winners will be announced tomorrow in Lisbon.

Wow, my roomie found the hottest deal on these tickets yesterday. $50 each for tickets that are normally $100+! They work for Love, Zumanity, Ka, and Mystere. We got some Ka tickets which I heard was probably the best one. Cirque du Soleil is such an awesome show…I recommend anyone who hasn’t seen one to go see it. If you are heading out to vegas this summer, definitely get in on this.

Apps and games are slowly starting to roll out for the IPhone already. The latest one is called MobilePet developed by cellufun!

MoiblePet is of course another virtual pet type application where you have to “take care” of a pet by playing with and feeding it. It’s ad-supported so it’s free to use. Anyways, I love virtual pets….no cleanup haha. I want a virtual pet for my Sidekick! Actually, I just want an IPhone…boo.
