Earth Day is April 22nd and Home Depot is celebrating by giving away 1,000,000 compact flourescent lightbulbs (CFL) to anyone who visits their store that day.

Getrichslowly says:

Compact fluorescent bulbs also last longer than incandescents. It’s true that they’re more expensive initially (up to $10/bulb), but the typical CF bulb will save you nearly $10/year.

CFLs use 75% less electricity than the regular lightbulb. Sounds like a great deal to me!
