Health Benefits Of Clementines
My favorite thing to buy lately is a box of clementine cuties from Trader Joe’s. They’re so easy to peel and eat and virtually a no mess snack. And they are usually much sweeter than oranges.
Why everybody should be eating clementines:
– a medium sized clementine is only 50 calories!
– it’s a great source of Vitamin C, fiber, folate, potassium and antioxidants
– it’s supposed to be great for your vision and if consumed daily can reduce vision loss associated with aging
– the smell of clementines is supposed to be stress reducing and calming. i agree..i love the smell!
speaking of trader joe’s, i’ve lately become obsessed with their canned trout. am i weird that i love canned fish??
i also bought their microwavable steel cut oatmeal + chunky apples in a jar. i’m trying to recreate the jamba juice oatmeal hehe. i’ll report back on my findings when i eat it!
any trader joe’s fans out there? any products I should be trying???

Louise- I actually didn’t buy the frozen one..it actually comes in a canister. I have yet to try it though since I’ve been waking up too late to eat breakfast!
As for the rice cooker idea…with my living situation right now I don’t really have a place to cook. I’ll definitely have to try it when I get my own place though! Thanks!

My guinea pigs love these too! You have to give them things with vitamin C every day, so they each get a couple of slices. They are still babies, so will maybe get more as they grow. I then eat the rest of it! The only pain is they are fussy about the skin on the slices, so I actually peel that off too. Man, I have spoiled piggies!

Obviously depends what your tastes are – but I love so many products at Trader Joe’s! One is the frozen chimichurri. So yummy! They also have these brie and raspberry wrapped things in the frozen section. Super tasty. Oh, and the Blintzes are good! I could go on and on. We shop there all the time!

I used to be a big Trader Joe’s fan, but then they stopped selling some of things I like. I also realized that it’s more like a 7-11 than a real grocery store. They sell a lot of packaged snacks and I’m trying to stay away from those.
I like steel cut oats, but make them the old fashioned way. It takes about 20 minutes, but I usually surf the internet for a while in the morning anyhow.

Cuties are awesome! Just wish they weren’t about 10 bucks a box :(

I love Trader Joe’s i don’t agree that they are a 7-11 that is from far left as you can be the first product that comes to mind is the Godess salad dressing and the meditrainian Hummas and they have dates on each egg so you know its fresh and and you have to try the Soy chorizo mix with scrabb, led eggs , potatoes and cheese wrap in a tortilla as for the Cuties they sell them for 6.99 a box or you can get them know at henry’s for 5.00

i love tj! :) i noticed they started carrying tj version of cuties which are a bit cheaper. they now carry copy cat nature valley bars. I’ve tried the fruit/nut one and the honey/oat one and they’re not bad!

You must be a better peeler than me. I always make a mess when I try to peel cuties. How is the TJ frozen oatmeal? It seems kinda expensive considering the cost of just buying dry steel cut oats from the bulk bin.
If you have a rice cooker with a timer and a porridge setting, it’s easy to make steel cut oats! Just put 1 cup of the dry oats in with 4 cups of water the night before, set the timer to the next morning and porridge mode, and when you wake up, you’re greated with creamy, healthy steel cut oats.
