I went there tonight with 5 other friends and it was only 12.50 each person. We were all sooo full too!

The only downside was it was very crowded and even though we made reservations we had to wait another half hour before we got to sit. To compensate they gave us each free dessert that was sooo yummy. The service was also great aside from the wait!

For people who don’t know Gyu-kaku or have never heard of it, it is japanese BBQ and it is sooo good. You cook the meats at your table on a charcoal grill. It’s definitely one of my favorite places to eat around LA. Normally when we go eat there it’s 20+. This was such a great deal we’ve already made plans to go again next week. Remember to make reservations though!

So today I opened up my gmail account and….*GASP*….I saw my first spam email in my inbox!!!! I’m really sad. My clean gmail account has finally been infiltrated. I try really hard to limit my gmail account to personal use only. I use my girlrobot.net for most of my web signups unless I really trust the website. I have no idea how this happened.

Anyways, I read a cool new way to track where these spammers are getting your address. You know how when you sign up for something and they say your information will not be sold…is that really true? Well try this trick (only works for GMail users):

If your Gmail login name was username @ gmail.com and you went to samplesite.com to fill out a registration form, instead of just entering username @ gmail.com as your email, enter it as username+samplesitecom @ gmail.com instead. When Gmail sees a “+” in an email address, it uses all the characters to the left of the plus sign to know who to send it to. In this example it would still send it to username @ gmail.com.

To see who is responsible for sending a specific message click the Show Details link and you will see the complete address.

Of course this doesn’t help to stop your spam infiltration but now you know which websites are shady!

So this past weekend I went with a few friends including boyrobot and flipbot to get my new phone! I dropped my old phone and it broke. Well before I had dropped it my phone (SK1) was having a lot of problems…I wouldn’t know when I had voicemail, my text messages weren’t getting through, and I could barely hear on my phone! Luckily I don’t really talk on the phone that much hehe.

Anyways, I upgraded to the SK3!

So now my text messages work so text me (my preferred method of communication ha ha)!

I can also play mp3s and take pics.

This is a coke that’s only released in Japan. They were handing them out for free at the new Topanga Mall last weekend which btw is niiiiice!

Anyways, I’m enjoying my new phone but ergomically it takes some getting used to since I am so used to the SK1. It’s thinner but longer and the keypad is a bit more squished.

Wow, I just saw that in the UK they are selling plush nintendogs modeled after the popular game. Check out this video:

You can train them just like the game and they are only about $20, unfortunately only available in the UK though. I wonder why the US is always the last to get everything. :(

Christmas time is coming up. No more! This cup will adjust the temperature of your drink to a suitable temperature and even has different settings if you prefer to drink it scalding hot. The temperature control chamber which cools your drink is separate from the rest of your drink which is kept in the regular portion of the mug and will keep your drink nice and hot. Perfect gift for the female in your life who likes to drink hot coffee or teas. They come in an assortment of colors too!

7. Mimobot Designer Flash Drives ($80-$170) – These are absolutely the cutest flash drives ever. My favorite are the love/hate ninjas. Every geek girl needs a cute flash drive.

8. DS Lite ($129.99) – This is probably one of my favorite tech gadgets that I own and they now come in pink! If you are looking for girl-friendly games to get try the Sims, Nintendogs, Brain Age, MarioKart, and Animal Crossing!

It’s not really that bad and if you need to pick a store I suggest Target. Every girl I know LOVES Target and you can always find something there to buy. And they have the cutest card designs!!

I just found this website that ranks board games by rating. I can’t believe Puerto Rico is #1! I haven’t played it but I’ve heard about it and I think people seem to generally say Settlers of Catan is better. BTW, Settlers of Catan is only ranked #21!
