I’ve ruined sooo many wool sweaters by shrinking them in the washer/dryer. Yes, I know I’m dumb! heheh. Anyways, I was overjoyed to read that you can unshrink wool by doing these steps:

1. Place the wool item in a sink full of warm water.
2. Soak for 10 minutes.
3. Remove the item and squeeze out excess water.
4. Let dry on a towel.
5. Carefully stretch and pull the item back to its original shape.

Now I need to find where I put my favorite shrunken wool cardigan….

A student fills in all Cs on a multiple choice test. Apparently he didn’t even bother looking at the test to see that they were ALL true/false questions!

The professor’s response:

Dear Michael,

Every year I attempt to boost my students’ final grades by giving them this relatively simple exam consisting of 100 True/False questions from only 3 chapters of material. For the past 20 years that I have taught Intro Communications 101 at this institution I have never once seen someone score below a 65 on this exam. Consequently, your score of a zero is the first in history and ultimately brought the entire class average down a whole 8 points.

There were two possible answer choices: A (True) and B (False). You chose C for all 100 questions in an obvious attempt to get lucky with a least a quarter of the answers. It’s as if you didn’t look at a single question. Unfortunately, this brings your final grade in this class to failing. See you next year!

I was just reading an article about the weird/trendy diets going around Hollywood. There are some very interesting ones out there:

Caveman Diet – For this diet you are only allowed to eat one meal a day in the evening and it should include proteins, carbs, and veggies. Yes, of course this will make you lose weight….YOU’RE BARELY EATING! I don’t think I could go through a whole day without eating until the evening. My stomach would start growling and slowly eating itself by 1pm! Ugh! Next stop….anorexia!

Facial Analysis Diet – This one seems dumb to me, I wonder if it works? A nutrition analyzes your face to see what nutritional deficiencies and ailments you have. Supposedly it worked for Kate Winslet!

Blood Type Diet – This diet determines what you should eat by your blood type. So Os should eat meat, A-types should eat veggies, and that Bs and AB-types can eat pretty much anything with only minor restrictions. Hmmm, I need to find out what blood type I am. I hope I’m a B or AB!

Yes that’s right….

As any Thundercats fan worth their catnip would know, the series followed a species of humanoid cats — including Lion-O, Tygra, Panthro and Cheetara — who escape from their doomed homeworld of Thundera to Third Earth, where they do battle with the evil sorcerer Mumm-Ra

And I can’t believe this but they are turning The Sims into a movie. I LOVE the Sims!!!! I have no idea how the movie will be though since nothing really substantial happens in The Sims (the plot is always pretty cheesy in the game). I’m still excited to see it though since I am a huge Sims fan! Yes I am a Sims dork. Can you believe The Sims is the best selling PC game in history?

And while we’re talking about movies, I’ll update some other movies I’ve been keeping track of.

My Sassy Girl: This is my favorite movie of all time. It’s a korean drama that they are remaking. I’m pretty sure it will be disappointing but I can’t help but want to see it! Originally, I heard that Rachel Leigh Cook and some other guy were going to be the stars. I forget who the guy was but I remember being disappointed cuz he wasn’t that cute/appealing to me! But I found out that they’ve replaced them with Elisha Cuthbert (!!!) and Jesse Bradford (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). They’ve already started filming and the release date is 2007 (it does not list the month but overseas it’s touted as being Nov 2007 so it should be even earlier than that for us!)

The movie is also being directed by Yann Samuell who did a small movie that most of you probably don’t know about called Love Me If You Dare. This was one of the first movies me and boyrobot watched!!! Anyways, I can’t wait for this movie be it good or bad!

And lastly, I’ve been tracking Ender’s Game the movie FOREVER. Nothing is ever happening with this movie apparently. Their webpage for the movie hasn’t been updated since March 2005. And they keep changing the date for the movie with the latest being sometime in 2008. Has the script even been finished? I’m not holding my breath for this movie!

And then I find out that a fist fight broke out in the Alabama senate. An actual fist fight! Old men in suits fighting!

Republican Sen. Charles Bishop claimed that Democratic Sen. Lowell Barron called him a “son of a (expletive).”

“I responded to his comment with my right hand,” Bishop said. Alabama Public Television tape captured the punch.

And lastly, a 21 year old man in a wheelchair gets attached to a Semi and was taken down a highway at 50mph. WTF!

Did you know there’s a free non-emergency number for Los Angeles motorists who need roadside assistance? Normally, if you didn’t have AAA or a similar service, your best bet was to walk to one of those call boxes that are randomly dispersed throughout the freeway. Now you can just call #399 from you cell phone if you need assistance. This is a FREE service that you are already paying for when you register your car so you really should take advantage of this!

This service is good if you run out of gas, get a flat tire or need a tow truck to move your malfunctioning vehicle out of the freeway travel lanes.
This is NOT for emergencies. You should still use 911 for that.

This number is only good for the Los Angeles area but many large cities have their own version of this, you just have to do some research to find out what number it is!

This game is sooo addicting.

How to play: The screen is filled with a varying number of colorful dots. With a click of your mouse, you create an orb, which expands, ensnaring the dots. When your orb hits a dot, that dot expands and swallows up other dots. The goal is to create a chain reaction, by which you encase as many colored dots as possible.

There’s something about watching each dot engulf the next that’s mesmerizing. Plus, the music rocks! I can’t believe the high scores that are recorded on there though…I can’t get past 300!!

If you like dark chocolate, you have to try Hershey’s new Extra Dark chocolates.

I haven’t tried all of the flavors, just the one with cranberries, blueberries, and almonds but it’s soooo scrumptious! I have to try to limit myself to one a day. The good news is, these are actually good for you since it’s made of dark chocolate!!! Yup, in case you haven’t heard, dark chocolate is known to lower blood pressure and is filled with antioxidants, the same ones touted in blueberries and green tea! So the next time you’re craving some chocolates, I highly recommend these.

Wow, ever since I’ve been home I’ve been eating SO MUCH JELLO. It’s true, there’s always room for jello! My sister has 3 kids so she constantly has jello in the fridge. Jello can be a really healthy and tasty treat. It’s made up of mostly water and if you get the sugar free kind it’s a great way to snack! My sister also adds fruit to her jello which is a fun way to get your daily serving of fruit. So far I’ve had lime with peach, black cherry with mandarins, and pineapple with mandarins. I think mandarins are my favorite canned fruit. The pineapple one was sooooo yummy! I think when I go home I’m going to make jello with fresh fruit like strawberries and blueberries. MMMMM.

Here are some other interesting way to dress up your jello:

When I was in college, I remember when we tried making sparkling jello. It’s actually pretty yummy and adds a kick to it!
Instead of using 1C of cold water, just add 1C of sprite or any other carbonated soda you enjoy like orange soda or even Martinelli’s!
