Douchebag is totally my word for 2009 (blame boyrobot). We love pointing out DBs to each other. In case you don’t know who they are, here is a perfect example (I wonder who this guy is?):

Yes, I’ve tried many times to define this term of art to my wife, but the precise meaning is very elusive.
While the fellow above is unquestionably a prince of douchebaggery, the verbal definition leaves much to be desired.
Certainly, the popped-collar pastel polo-shirt worn by anyone outside of the boot of Italy is to the DB what the red arm band is to the Nazi, or the blue plus sign to the Gonorrhea home testing kit; an instant and definite marker. If you spot this sign, or its brethren (a guy calling anyone “Brah,” for an instance), you know you have a DB on your hands.
But there are many more subtle varieties that I am not sure are encapsulated by that definition. Its like trying to define “cheesy,” its always just easier to point to something and say “that.”
