Car Troubles & How To Jump Start Your Car

I recently had to learn how to jump start a car…a useful thing to know for anyone who drives:

How To Jump Start A Car

To quickly sum up how to connect the cables
1. Connect the positive cable to the dead battery
2. Connect the other positive cable to the good battery
3. Connect the negative cable to the good battery
4. Connect the other end of the negative cable to a solid shiny, non painted metal part of the engine like a giant shiny nut on the engine block. Only use the ground post on the dead battery as a last resort!

Then we found out the battery of the car wasn’t the problem. We found this useful page on how to diagnose what’s wrong with your car if it doesn’t start:

My car won’t start, what should I do?

Random car tip:
How to determine if you tire has enough tread left – Use a penny and place Lincoln’s head upside down into the tread. If you can see his head after inserting it it’s time to replace your tires!

But what if I don’t have an american penny? Some people use their finger nail. Think if you can place your finger in the tread and half your nail is showing then its time to replace.

Car troubles can happen to anyone at anytime. It would really help if you know the basics on what to do. One of the usual problem that car owner experienced is when the car won’t start. There are several causes why this things happens. No fuel pressure – bad fuel pump relay; Fuel Injectors not being fired – bad TDC or speed sensors; Dirty connections – check and clear connections. Just recently, I had problem with my car. I’ve replaced the gm spark plug wires and other suspension parts. It costs me some bucks to have the job done.
