The Algorithm Billboards
I’m sure some of you have noticed them. Those mysterious billboards that are popping up all over the place with one liners about some algorithm. When I saw my first one, “The algorithm killed jeeves”, I immediately thought Google
But then I saw one that said, “The algorithm is from Jersey”, which is a reference to Ask.com’s algorithm being developed in Piscataway, NJ. And if you look closely at the billboard you see:
These ads might have generated some buzz but most people don’t even know what it’s about. And to be honest, I used google.com to find out! hehe.

an Ask.com rep called me twice in the last week. they must be ramping something up… i’ve been too busy to check into it though since Ask sucked for us last year. lol ;)
