New Year’s (Tet) to me means:

Getting red envelopes filled with money!!!

You are supposed to get these until you are married so even though I’m kind of old, I still get them hahhaa!! I hit up both sides of my family and also boyrobot’s family. :D

Playing Bau Cua

This game is very simple. You just put your money down on any of the pictures and then 3 dice get thrown. If your picture shows up you win double your money! I won a lot playing this ha ha.

And lastly, it’s about eating Banh Chung!!!

My aunt makes these professionally to sell to the supermarkets. It takes a lot of effort to cook these at 11 hours. I found a recipe that calls for 6. It’s too much work for me to ever try making. I would rather buy them but it is oh sooo good!

Anyways, I wish you all asian-or not much health, happiness, and good luck this year!!!

In vietnamese: Chuc Mung Nam Moi!
In chinese: Gung Hay Fat Choy!
