Another Travel Guide: Wikitravel
I’m in the midst of planning my next big vacation…Peru. As always, I am on the lookout for good travel guides and I stumbled upon Wikitravel. It’s great! Just like Wikipedia, people can update it with their own thoughts and suggestions which is great for travel recommendations. I always like reading what the average person thinks is fun to do, see, or eat in another country.
I was checking out the page for Cuzco, Peru since that is where we need to go to start our trek to Machu Picchu and I saw this picture:

oh no! TURTLE! heh jk… anyway, one of my coworkers just came back from Peru i think…. i could ask him for suggestions. but i do know he tried the guinea pig… he said it doesnt have much meat and it was difficult to eat. eww!

About that Guinea Pig, it’s called CUY and i remember when I was little I used to eat that with some spicy potatoes, it was actually quite good, tasted just like rosted chicken. hahaha

Hey, Kim! I’m glad you liked what you saw at Wikitravel. We’ve been working pretty hard for a few years to make really great travel guides, and it’s nice to hear that you like what we’ve done so far.
I wanted to add that *anybody* is welcome to edit, add and update our travel guides. So many things change so fast in the world — restaurants close, hotels open, museums change their prices, bars change their hours — that we really want help from *everyone* to keep our information up-to-date.
